2. January 30, 1972 (Bloody Sunday)
3. September 11, 2001 (Terrorists Attacks on America)
4. December 8, 1980 (Lennon murder)
5. June 28, 1914 (Archduke Franz Ferdinand assassination)
6. June 6, 1944 (D-day)
7. December 7, 1941 (Pearl Harbor)
8. October 24, 1929 (Stock Market crashes, start of Great Depression)
9. September 1, 1939, Germany invaded Poland
10. October 25, 1917 Bolsheviks launch overthrow of the Russian government
11. July 7, 2005 (London terror bombings)

Agreed that D-Day is hardly “infamous.”

I’m a little curious about that one myself. Comment on the casualties at Omaha Beach? Misunderstanding over the meaning of infamy? Or a sign of unusual political sympathies?
