1. Bear in the air = police helicopter or plane

2. 10-4 - message received

3. Good buddy (originally, friend or fellow trucker; later, code for “I’m gay and looking to score”)

4. Chicken coop - weigh station

5. 10-9 - Repeat

6. Bear in a brown paper bag - unmarked police car

7. Smokey - State trooper

8. Kojak with a Kodak - police car with radar

9. Put the hammer down - Accelerate/Floor it

10. Alligator (large strip of rubber from a torn tire in the middle of the road)

11. Lot lizard - Prostitute at a truck stop

12. Pizza (roadkill)

13. Monkey Town - Montgomery, Alabama
