A “Classic” Book You’ve TRIED To Read More Than Once And Could Never Get Into

1. Finnegans Wake by James Joyce. I’ve tried it 4 times over the span of 40 years. I will not try again.
2. Moby-Dick
3. War and Peace
4. The Spirit of Laws by Montesquieu
5. The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks
6. The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens
7. The Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan
8. 1984 by George Orwell
9. The Turn of the Screw by Henry James
10. Democracy in America by Alexis de Tocqueville
11. Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes

I have read synopses of it, but I cannot read the actual book.

(It’s true, I once tried to read the Bible from cover to cover. Got bogged down in all the “begats” and gave up.)
