Non-culinary uses root beer could be put to: 1. Added as a coolant in one’s radiator (one time) 2. Leave a small bowl in the garden to attract snails, slugs, and other pests. 3. Paperweight 4. Christen ships with bottle of A&W 5. Caffeine free bubbly drink. 6. A crappy hydraulic fluid ---

[Cola (pH ~2.5) is a much better solvent than root beer (pH ~4.5)](https://spoonuniversity.com/lifestyle/beverage-ph-levels-is-the-smart-way-to-drink-knowing) because of [the far greater amount of phosphoric acid in cola](https://www.jrnjournal.org/article/S1051-2276(04)00298-5/pdf). However, root beer is acidic enough to still work in some applications – say, if you’ve got time to soak dirty metal objects in it for a day or two. ---
