Vacation spots you’ve visited that you’ll never go back to because it sucked. 1. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic 2. Orlando, FL 3. Atlantic City, New Jersey 4. Niagara Falls, New York 5. Tampa, Florida 6. Washington DC 7. Vernon Valley / Great Gorge Ski Resort, NJ (currently called Mountain Creek) Poorly designed and maintained area, icy, ungroomed trails and obnoxious, sketchy skiers (cutting in line, screaming at their kids, stealing food from the cafeteria) Sorry to hate on NJ as with Atlantic City above (which I also disliked due to sketchy vacationers and a poorly maintained area). I know many lovely NJ people, but in these 2 spots they seemed determined to uphold the stereotype of NJ being full of loud & rude jerks ---

El Paso Texas Not anything against the city, but just wasn’t prepared for the Mexican culture constantly being in my face. I’ll know better next time. ---

Tampa, Florida 6. Washington DC 7. Vernon Valley / Great Gorge Ski Resort, NJ (currently called Mountain Creek) 8. El Paso Texas 9. Salem, MA, especially the Witch Museum and Wax Museum 10. Daytona Beach, Florida Total tourist trap, went during spring break in college and the town was full of drunk, entitled assholes, the hotel seemed unprepared for the sudden influx of guests all trying to check in Saturday morning. Beach was nice and the beer was fine but it was a long way to drive just to drink a lot. ---

Cannes itself is filled with trendy cafes and boutiques and all that relates to the film festival. In short, very little that interested me. They do have a pretty harbor and beach, though. Pass ---
