_Portuguese jackass_ I used to enjoy the show until it became so ridiculous, I didn’t know if it was a cooking show or a show of cooking with a drunk. And I HATE his sad attempts to kiss up to the Portuguese audience by saying the line “Hey, to all my friends in Fall River, you can put some linguisa in this dish” in almost every show. Hey Emeril, maybe you should put some linguisa down your fat throat :mad: Any sane person knows that linguisa should only be cooked by deep frying it in lard. 🙂 ---

Yep, Emeril is over the top. But this is CABLE TV folks. And my kids love to watch all the cooking shows, including Emeril. If you have any training or are in the biz you may not have any respect for him, BUT he shows that cooking is fun. He’s become a cartoon character, but so was Graham Kerr in his drinking days. Remember, its TV, so its about ratings and entertainment, not whether or not the recipes work. \ You could go ahead and burn Bobby Flay right in his own grill and serve him. How would you plate that? And whats with his little giggling slut for a sidekick Jacqui? Drunkin’ tart. \ ---

He doesn’t know jack-squat about Southern food – with the possible exception of what his chefs at NOLA have taught him!
