Calling all Bamadopers (and of course, any interested MSDopers, TNDopers, and GADopers)… I’ve talked to a few of you, and we seemed to have reached a consensus: Another Bamadope! The last one was so much fun, why not have another one, especially since some of our esteemed Bamadopers were out-of-pocket? I’m here to start the ball rolling…does anyone have any ideas for a date? place? I was thinking early August, but some of you might have different ideas. I can’t really get to anywhere besides Tuscaloosa (and possibly Birmingham, but that’s a long shot), but if you guys want something different, that’s cool with me. Anyhow, let’s get this show on the road! ---

well, best that I can tell, the 2nd weekend of August would work for me in either Tuscaloosa or Birmingham. Osip will not know for sure till it is closer to August. Osip ---

August 11 is doable and plannable. However, we do have two toddlers that go with us wherever we go. I have inferred from other Dopefest reports that children are a problem. Will they be here? ---

Extremely sorry for the late reply to this thread! I have been in HELL…dying with a kidney stone since yesterday morning. Yes, August 11th (or thereabouts) seems perfectly acceptable to me. Tuscaloosa is fine, too. It’s only about 45 minutes away, tops. I hope the other BamaDopers see this thread and respond! We need another party! **bwk** , I’d love to help you out on the ride situation, but MS is a bit far for me. Maybe someone in MS can help you out. We’d really love for you to be able to come! ---

**Juliana** , kids are certainly no problem in MY book, considering I have four of them! Bring 'em on! What are their ages? I might even be tempted to bring mine. (Only three would be coming, however; one is already grown and would probably be working.) I have already asked Mr. Silky (he’s gonna hate that nick!) if he wants to come, so he can holler at kids while we have a good time! **Nocturne** , I’m doing a bit better today, thanks to the gods. I really do think August the 11th, or somewhere in that vicinity, would be just fine. No plans here for anything else. I hope **Simetra, Ogre, Dire Wolf** and others see this thread. **SilkyThreat** , our children are 3 and 2. Our son (3) is a little gentleman. Our daughter, however… 😃 And I’m happy to see so far that kids aren’t an issue. I really appreciate y’all’s honesty. **bwk** , we’re in Jackson. We’d love to give you a ride, but we now have a Taurus. I don’t know if you’d fit in the back with two carseats… As for Tuscaloosa itself: can anyone recommend a good hotel in the area? And what’s good to chow on there? ---

Maybe bwk could ride in the trunk? 😉 Juliana: The last time we Dopefested, we ate at Arman’s Coyote Grill or whatever the heck it was called. I recommend NOT going there again because the waitstaff there doesn’t know how to add. As for hotels, I wish I could help, but Tuscaloosa’s 45 minutes away, so I never need to stay overnight. ---
