I’ve alwyas appreciated the user name as a _joke_ in the same way my sister and I made up a “Guinea Pig Hassenpfeffer” song as a kid. And Googling it at [google.de](http://google.de) and restricting the search to Seiten aus Deutschland, you still get plenty of hits with two Ss in “Hassenpfeffer”. Was it ever (historically) an es-zett, like “Haßenpfeffer”? Actually that can’t be the case or it would be “hating pepper”. ---

Anyone remember some poster talking about joining the (firefox??) forums with the max. character name of (something like) morepowerfulthansupermanandtheincrediblehulkcombined or some such and wreaking havoc on their page coding and getting banned for no reason other than the site’s own idiocy?
