# Bananas and bread and butter.

Growing up we always ate bananas along with a slice of bread and butter, not a sandwich, but alternating bite. I’ve never met any one outside the family that does; is this a (possibly old fashioned) actual thing?

Close. We made banana and butter sandwiches. Also peanut butter, banana and butter.

None of the above…but it does sound like fun, either as in the OP or as a sandwich. I’ll have to experiment! Yum!

(I love SDMB food threads, even if they do always make me feel hungry!)
