[The Tea Party](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tea_Party) is actually a rock band from Canada formed in 1993, long before the US political movement. It sounds like the other Tea Party has been unsuccessfully trying to buy the domain name from the band for a while now.

The Bay City Rollers were not from Bay City, but got their name by throwing a dart at a map and hitting Bay City, Michigan.
