As much as I hate bandwagons, I have to jump on the Rolling Stones Suck bandwagon.
They are a prime example of somebody who needs to learn that when the only thing holding your guitarist’s body together is pot resin, it’s time to quit.

Regarding the OP, I’m going with aha and say it’s the visibility.
Those groups aren’t making new music and touring.
Okay, Led Zep’s drummer died, and they recently reunited (sans drummer) - they don’t sound the same. Robert Plant can’t belt it out like he used to.
Pink Floyd… last album I’ve even heard about was Momentary Lapse of Reason, with “Dogs of War”, “Learning to Fly”, and a couple others that don’t come to mind.
The Who - The who? Yes I’ve heard of them but can’t come up with songs besides the one about the blind, deaf, and dumb pinball wizard.
Meanwhile the Stones are still touring and still pumping out songs. Doesn’t matter if the stuff is crap, they’re doing it.
Same with Aerosmith - though I think I like a bit more of their stuff than the Stones.
Hm? I saw The Who in November, at Shoreline.
The first time I saw The Who was around 1974 and I literally had no idea who they were. It was a day on the green at Anaheim stadium and I was there to see Loggins and Messina (wasn’t into “rock” at all back then). Nice treat that The Who and Rod Stewart and Faces also showed up… opened up my head, I’ll tell ya!
