Banking Hours and the Year 2002

My bank advised me to use the deposit slot if they weren’t open. The nice teller said that they get toted up first thing, before the ATM deposits were.

My bank also accepts deposits through the mail. I always thought that it seemed a bit archaic, but I can see that it might be useful for some people.

OK, Thanks for the Imput, Problem Solved - Deposit made, Money in Pocket/Purse, and Tomorrow I will have my ATM/Debit Card, I should be in Shopping Heaven/Business.

One of the advantages of small-town life:

I get a 1-hr lunch break.

Today, I went to the Department of Public Safety Office to change the address on my driver’s license since I moved recently. Then I went to the bank to make a payment on my mortgage. Then I got back to the office and had 30 minutes to spare, which gave me ample time to eat my bowl of homemade chili with Fritos and cheese and read before returning to my desk.

Not too long ago, I went to the Post Office, the drive through at Popeyes and the bookstore all in the same lunch break.

Yep, small towns have some advantages.

Just as an aside, why not just keep a running balance on your account? It’s easy and takes little time or effort. That way, you always know if you’ve got enough to cover any checks you might need to write. I

Most of the branches of my Fucking Credit Union are open from 9-5 Monday through Friday, many are also open 9-2 on Saturday, and there’s one branch that’s open 8:30 - 4:30 weekdays. This is, mind you, a local credit union, not known for its modernity or efficiency.

I second (third?) the motion that you find a better bank.

That’s the price of living in Hooterville, I guess.
