I agree, **ccwaterback** : ‘That said’ … Having said that, 😉 : ‘Tar with the same brush’. I have this image in my mind where artists are carefully dipping their brush in a pot of tar and then put big **XXXX** ’s on people’s foreheads. It’s silly. ---

Not a word _per se_, but if I never see “loose” used for ‘lose’ again the SDMB will IMHO be a better place. ---

I would ban “it’s”. It’s used so many time when “its” should have been used, I thought the Board had a spell-checker that was changing it. It’s its, dammit. Instead of using it’sw, use it is and see if that’s what you really mean. Also, "I could care less ., when you really mean “I could NOT care less.” ---
