Just to add one note on all of this, for the newer crowd. It’s not really ‘the thing to do’ do post in these old threads and make them active. Read them, enjoy them, and laugh your ass off at some of them, but please don’t dredge them up from the depths of the archives as current threads. Oh, and another memory of fondness, the all time classic “You wanna stick that thing Where!?” :eek: , was in MPSIMS, search under Satan. 😉 ---

Mike Masterson was Silo for a long while. If there are any previously banned posters still posting (with permission) they are keeping very quiet about it and I can’t say that I blame them. ---

**scotth** , at least one poster was able to credibly explain what happened and was reinstated as a poster. Many of the banned go too far out on a limb before their banning to ever credibly explain their way back. ---

While we’re reminiscing, I’d like to nominate another looney for the hall of fame: [**ScOo\_gUy**](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=78182&highlight=Floyd+Wizard) This person **knew** in his heart of hearts that **The Dark Side of the Moon** was intentionally produced as the soundtrack to **The Wizard of Oz** and proved most resilient in his resistance to rational argument. His flames were crude and pathetic, but he was a genius at evading sane debate. Valiant dopers would construct an airtight case of logic and facts and **ScOo\_gUy** would escape like a demented Houdini, back to his alternate reality where every connection his fertile imagniation invented was attributed to a conspiracy in the real world. Not even **Og** could have beaten a clue into dear **ScOo\_gUy**. And, to veer this hijack back slightly in the direction of the OP, he was never banned. He can come back and reprise his one-note symphony or defend himself. ---
