From time to time, I come across a banner ad that seems to be preventing the rest of the page from loading (IE version 8). The most common one I remember seeing is a Goodyear ad with four tires that pop up and down in rotation. Maybe it’s the flash functionality causing the page to get stuck, maybe it’s something quirky with my PC. I can usually fix it just by reloading the page, which usually causes a different ad to come up in. I have noticed the same thing with the same ad on other sites. Has anyone else had this experience? Is there some setting I can change that would make this work correctly, or is this an issue external to my PC? Roddy ---

We have had situations where the ad is loaded incorrectly or mis-sized. Doesn’t happen a lot but it has happened. Refreshing the page is usually the only way to get out of it – getting to flip to another ad. Sorry for your inconvenience.
