I’d be fine if **discobot** had to follow the same rules as every regular poster. That is, being a jerk to **discobot** would be prohibited. But, **discobot** could be muted by posters. ---

I don’t think that is possible. I believe the choice is between disabling it entirely and not. ---

I’ll admit, I enjoy some of the jokes Dopers make with Discobot (all though I imagine they’ll soon become tired or overused, like “Hi, Opal”). But what is Discobot actually for? What is it supposed to do? ---
