Possible methods of jerkiness include, but are not limited to: being insulting to other posters outside the Pit; only showing up to post racist, homophobic or other consistently offensive material, and; only showing up for mod-bashing and at no other times. Being a sockpuppet will get you kicked too. ---

Sock (or sockpuppet) is when someone has two or more usernames. You’re only allowed one. Some twerps who have too much free time get themselves banned, then create another username to come back and bitch and whine some more. Other twerps who have started an argument they’re really not equipped to handle (is that a nice way of saying it?) create a new username to come in and support them so it looks like they’re not getting hammered too badly. Either way, the mods are pretty quick to clear 'em out. ---

Or were you responding to something earlier in this thread? If you were talking to me, thanks for sending the link, but it doesn’t mention the word “sock” or “sockpuppet” anywhere in there. Yes, I had read the rules, and I did see that it said more-than-one-user-name was a “no-no”, but that didn’t help me to figure our what a “sockpuppet” was. But thanks, anyway! I know now. -Sue ---
