# Barack Obama and Sir David Attenborough meet in Alice's Resturant...

No, this isn’t the setup for a joke. Two newly described Edicaran fossil species in Australia [have been named _Obamus coronatus_ and **Attenborites janeae**](http://earthsky.org/earth/new-fossil-discovery-dawn-of-animal-life) in honor of the above-mentioned historical live guys.  
(Acceptable comments in the thread including discussion on the nature and/or coolness of these Edicaran fossils in specific and Edicaran fauna in general _and_ attempts to construct the joke suggested in the subject line.)\*\*
