# Barr: "I'll vote for Trump in '24, though I just wrote a book showing why no one should." Explain?

Barr thinks the executive branch should be pretty much unfettered in all that it does and not subject to advise, consent, review, or investigation by the other branches. And that the president must always be a Republican. I have no doubt that if he had the slightest shred of evidence of election fraud he would have been more than happy to aid and abet the January 6 traitors.

And he never will, because none of them ever do. That the Democrats have a progressive agenda that will ruin the country isn’t based on any specific policies, its based on a general article of faith among conservatives that that is what Democrats do. When challenged on this by Inskeep in their interview his response was that conservatives by definition don’t tear things down. So argument purely by self identified word choice.
