Red, white & blue will never be the same again. RED…the passion of his songs WHITE…Barry has died BLUE…How it made me feel. This is also the seventh anniversary of the death of my best friend Butch, who loved Barry White. I hope they’re together now. ---

Guys, I need your help in resolving something. When I studied in Maastricht, a story was doing the rounds that mr. White lived, or once had lived (depending on who told the story), in the nearby town of Vaals, where he was married to a Dutch woman. Now, I’m no huge fan of mr. White in that I know all the details about his private life, but the story always sounded rather iffy to me. Anyone who knows what the true story is? ---

Seems iffy. None of the bios I’ve read about Mr. White in th last 3 days indicated that he had been married to anyone other than “a childhood sweetheart, identified only as ‘Mary’ in his autobiography” and Glodean James of Love Unlimited Orchestra. I was surprised at how many newscasts mentioned his one appearance on the Simpsons. Maybe next Fourth of July, they can show “Summer of 4 ft. 2” and “Whacking Day.” ---
