I’ll have to share blame with Safeco Field. The Mariners won every time I visited the Kingdome. They’ve lost every time I’ve visited Safeco.
Josh Hamilton injured again? Not what the Rangers need.
Reds swept by Brewers. FoieGrasIsEvil, not a happy camper. Games one and three were extremely winnable (3-2, 5-2). The Reds do not do well in close games. Shit.
My own personal Tigers are creating room from the pack. Things are good in the world. Tigers are pitching very well. Perhaps this summer will stay fun.
The D-backs are again stinking up the field tonight. I was shocked when I went to Fry’s yesterday and I handed the cashier my D-backs card. They won that Saturday game after I had given up. Still, this is a team that isn’t playing good baseball. I wonder if Brandon Webb is going to hurry back from his injury. If the D-backs were in 1st place, he’d be back in a hurry. Right now? He’ll take his time.
And May comes to a close, in fitting manner for my Royals - our one rock of reliability, Zack Grienke, gives up 4 runs, jacks his ERA above 1, and the team loses (though he doesn’t personally get the decision).
Lord, I hope June feels better than May did.
The Dodgers with an 8-game lead after 1/3 of the season? Hey, if we can increase our lead by 8 more games after each of the remaining two thirds, I think we’ll be in good shape. That’s not unrealistic, is it?
I’ll gladly take a split with the Cubbies, although I was wondering where our offense went. Nice to see it re-emerge tonight. Three runs during the first three games was almost making me want Manny back. Almost.
