But the ability to pee in the shower is a major benifit of showering vs bathing in a tub and must be mentioned as a positive. Unless of course peeing in the tub is a hidden thing that people just don’t talk about.

Shower 100%. Only times I remember using the tub were an ice bath after running a marathon some 20 years ago, and when I broke my ankle 15 years ago. When we redid this house we put a tub in the main bathroom. We thought we might occasionally be bathing grandkids, and that it would be a plus when we resold. We wish we had just put in a nice big shower.

Shower for sure. The only baths I’ve taken since I was a kid (and had no shower) were either in a place that had no shower (we spent a year in Switzerland in such a place) or on a hot summer night when I would soak in cold water for a half hour and then get in bed without drying out. We had no air conditioner. In the condo I have been living in for nearly 7 years, the bathtub is used for storage. Neither my wife nor I could even get out of a tub unaided.

Toilet paper, paper towels and Kleenex mainly. There is also a drying rack in it.

When younger I prefered baths, but now I generally prefer a shower. And a good thing too because my apartment now has only a shower unit.
That said, I would want the option of a bathtub, were my fortunes to improve I might get into the habit of running hot baths and using sea salts or whatever in them from time to time.
Plus not having a bathtub makes it harder to wash just my feet.
As for turkish baths (hammam), I’d love to try that. It’s an item on my mental bucket list.
