Batman: Dead End. Awful, Bad or Just Plain Dumb?

OK, reinstalling Quicktime got it working.

I was impressed. It was…strange…but it was good.

Guess Joker’s not going back to Arkham, then.

Bah.

That Batman and Joker look more like my vision of the characters than any other live-action I’ve seen (my opinion of how they should look being mostly influenced by the Animated Series).

Neurotik – don’t agree? Ah, well. It was a warped message intended for warped minds.

When I first saw the Alien, I thought “woah!” and when the 3 dotted laser sight appeared on it’s head, I knew that this was one of the coolest fucking things ever. I’m a geek, I know, but I thought it was a lot cooler than had it been, say, the Riddler.

sorry, i didn’t see your link in the OP :frowning:

i did understand what you ment by “borrowing a copy” though…

Just saw this, yeah I know I’m late, and this is a great short flick. Really impressive to see what the director was able to do with out a ton of money. I made sure not to read this thread before I saw it so I was blown away by the short.

I don’t understand all the hate coming from people about this short, not here but from a lot of other places. Sure it wasn’t the ultimate fan boy but it was pretty close.

I couldn’t get the QT link in this thread to work either… but AICN had a link to an MPEG that does seem to work. I’m downloading it now.

Just based on the stills, this looks very cool.

OK, that was one of the coolest surprises ever. I really liked how they mixed music for each of the “villains” in… really effective!

Nicely done effects, great costumes, good fight scenes. When is Sandy Collora directing a feature-length Batman flick? I’ll see it! I haven’t seen the last two…

And the Joker was especially cool… very much influenced by Dave McKean’s take on the Joker in Arkham Asylum, I’d say.

I snagged a copy, and if you listen close you can hear a sort of voice-over news report kinda thing in the beginning saying that the Joker just busted out of Arkham. The costumes were great and the fights were nice and bone-jarring but the actor didn’t qite sound the way batman should. I think they should have just stuck with the one kind of foe showing up after the joker, having two just makes it seem too fanboy-ish. Granted this didn’t stop me from liking it.
