Still no power since Friday morning. Our whole development’s up, except for our little 4-house cul-de-sac, which leads me to think we might be one of the last ones up, as they get the larger grids up and running. Friday and Saturday nights sat huddled around the wood stove with the fire blazing. My sister’s power came on Saturday, but she had other people over Saturday night. They left yesterday and we bundled up the cats and some clean clothes and trucked on over to her place. So we’re good for now. Fridge/Freezer contents are shot to hell though, and we’ve got 2 water taps drizzling slowly to keep the pipes from freezing.

If we’ve got power by Wednesday, I’ll be happy.

Just wondering **Aguecheek** , did you guys get your power back? We got it back 20 minutes before getting my parents here, on the evening of the 18th. We were COLD. Four days without power turned out to be harder than I thought it would be, and my husband and I both caught some sort of cold. We were showering at my FIL’s, then coming home and going to sleep cold and wet. Damn. We looked haggard. We went to Target in Northgate to buy more blankets, sleeping bags, lamps, and D batteries, and the girl who checked us out looked as bad as I felt, and said she had no power, either.

We’re better prepared now that it’s over, but holy shit. I hope that doesn’t happen again any time soon. Cripes, that was _ **cold** _.
