The Wedge thread bought this up. The name of the song in this youtube clip is called Battle Without Honor or Humanity, I did not know this. Thankfully, the video in the Wedge thread credited the music.

In another thread I said my theme music would be Baby Elephant Walk. I know the name now but it was _years_ from when I first heard it until I could name it.

Fight Ignorance! Name an instrumental song with a link to what it sounds like. Please.

Any mechanical/factory scene in a cartoon will probably have [Raymond Scott’s Powerhouse](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEuwAh3LFvM) playing over it.

Don’t know how you’d measure it at this point, but if you included youtube playings, wedding dances, graduation slideshows, sporting events–this track has to be the biggest hit in the history of the world.

Not an instrumental, but like “O, Fortuna!” a common choral piece: [the Anvil Chorus from the opera “Il Trovatore”](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXFZckzjcKw)

Classic rock instrumental: [Edgar Winter Group “Frankenstein”](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m98wtZVRA-Y)

Put that song with the Chad and Jeremy [“A Summer Song”](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdjCP6-cjwc) and I have the most intense childhood flashbacks to riding around in the car with the radio tuned to easy listening whenever my dad was driving. 😃

Most people are familiar with the final segment of the William Tell Overture as used for the theme to the Lone Ranger.

But there’s also the [Ranz des Vaches](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4PS8-_5UFw) immediately preceding it, which is often used as ‘morning music’ (Sometimes it gets confused with Grieg’s “Morning Mood”).

[The Storm](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n52_yLz2hs#t=3m48s) segment is also fairly well known.

I don’t know if many will recognize this very famous tune any longer: [The Poor People of Paris](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLhOJHg7gWI)

I always think of this as an instrumental, though it’s obviously not: [The Theme from A Man and a Woman](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bYBn5VJ-ko)

[Strauss’s Pizzicato Polka](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixOtQjz8RzA&feature=related). They used to play this at the drive-in.

Movie related, I bet people will recognize [Quincy Jones’s Soul Bossa Nova](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSFwD3vlyiM).

Aha! I was trying to remember that one, too, but I was drawing a blank on the composer.
