> Well, Gaeta said “arm all weapons, engage the target and destroy.” The “arm all weapons” part made me think they are about to unload on the Basestar, rather than just one Raptor. Being so close to the Basestar and hitting it with everything could probably do quite a bit of damage.

I thought those orders were specifically to Narcho who was flying CAP, to target the Raptor. I’ll have to rewatch to be sure.

Adama gets spaced next Friday. I think they kill Adama and Tigh in the same episode.

If you could, putting it in the OP each week will probably help for when people come in pumped up from the episode and might get too caught up to remember.

> And let me join the chorus saying that badass Kara is really badass. She knows how to deal with mutineers.

I’m amused that her character has become the one person you definitely want around when the shit is going down… and the one person you _don’t_ want around when things are back to normal.

Also, it is pretty obvious that she’s not too far different from the mutineers – all of 'em just want to frack stuff up, to vent their rage and frustration. And she’s one of the few characters who can hold her own around Adama, Tigh, Roslin, and others who tend to steamroll the scene and leave everyone else overshadowed. (as Lee often is.)

There’s no debate to be had. They didn’t board the shuttle, they stayed on Galactica. They left by the hatch they came in on.

> Another cool thing - I really bought Zarek as an effective guerilla/revolutionary fighter. The pained look on his face when Gaeta told him that Adama hadn’t been shot yet - I think Zarek understands far better than Gaeta exactly how dangerous Adama is, both as a man and a rallying point for the loyalists. Frankly, shooting Adama and Tigh right on the CIC, or just outside, would have been the correct move. Gaeta’s an amateur, Zarek is not - and it’ll be fun to see how that plays out. 😃

Good point. When it became clear from last week’s preview that It Was Going Down this week, I figured that once it started, Zareck would be absolutely ruthless in achieving his objective. When Felix’s smooth talking didn’t work on the hangar deck and Zareck grabbed the wrench and put the guy down without hesitation, I was glad they didn’t soften his character in some way.

(About Earth – is the fleet still in orbit around it? And have we ever had a view of the whole planet, enough to recognize the continents?)

> Backtracking a bit, I’m so sorry to see Seelix among the mutineers. She is one of my favorite obscure geeky crushes, and I’m thinking it won’t go well for the mutineers. ☹

Seelix AND Racetrack. The engineer took a wrench to the brain. Gaeta and Zarek are obviously going to be SO dead at the end of this. Dee blew her brains out.

Besides our main cast, which background characters will we have left?

Oh, and I love Starbuck. I agree with her totally, but I wonder if Adama sparing the one guy is what is going to bail Saul and Bill out of their Bogus Airlock Journey.

As someone who is still mystified by what happened in the webisodes, do we know what Baltar knows about Felix? I assumed it had something to do with the execution orders, but that’s just a best-guess kinda thing.

> [@levdrakon](#):

No need. All they need to do is land on Colonial One. Gaeta can’t do much about that once they land.

I don’t think we need to worry too much though, because Costanza is going to keep anything bad from happening to the Raptor. Whether or not he survives will be a whole other question.

Yes, we know. While on New Caprica, Gaeta attempted to spring certain high-value prisoners from Cylon detention by working with an apparently sympathetic Eight. To that end, Gaeta provided the Eight with lists of VIP prisoners. Rather than freeing them, the Eight turned the list over to her superiors, who used the lists to identify and kill the most important prisoners. Thus, Gaeta inadvertantly collaborated with the enemy. Both the Eight in question, and Baltar, suggested in the webisode that Gaeta could and should have known that he was being played, but willfully allowed himself to be duped.

I kind of got all of that except for the REASON for him handing over the lists. “Whatever you do please don’t shoot these valuable people” seemed kind of weird to me. Trying to get them released, that made more sense.

You’re right, he was trying to get them released. That’s why the Eight claimed that he knew she was killing them, because he never did see them after they were supposedly released. She did let one or two of them go for the sake of their mutual illusion, but really, Gaeta could have realized at any point that the whole thing was a charade. He didn’t want to know, possibly because he was sleeping with her, and he was able to justify that by thinking he was helping people. Baltar knew all about it. That’s the “little secret” he is holding over Gaeta’s head.

Yes, pretty much. From the 'sodes:

Gaeta made friends with a Boomer model and began giving her names of people he knows, friends, and I guess maybe resistance people, all of whom were in prison for one reason or another. Presumably, this sympathetic Boomer was getting them released. Then Gaeta started sleeping with her. Meanwhile, she was having most of the people on Gaeta’s lists killed. She’d free one once in awhile just for show, but Gaeta wasn’t so completely in denial he couldn’t have known. Baltar knew what he was doing, too, but has kept it secret. That’s how I understand it anyway.

I don’t remember for sure either way, but I’m sure I’ll watch again this week. It just seems to me that Zarek would LOVE to get into a shooting match with the Cylons. It would play into his plans perfectly.

Roslin heading over to Colonial One, though, would keep Galactica from taking direct action against her.
