Why’s it so hard to accept that **BSG** takes place in a parallel universe where _All Along The Watchtower_ also happened to have been written? It’s also a strange sitar-y version, which makes it seem even more parallel universe-y, not our universe-y. ---

I got a good laugh outa both of the those. I’d like to see somebody get creative on youtube with those songs and smart video clips from the series! ---

Hmmm, reading this thread gave me a new theory on the Cylons that went to earth after leaving Kobol. Not being in the know, someone has likely come up with it first but it just occured to me. - Cylons arrived on Earth approximately 2000 years ago - Humans already were present on earth but were very warlike and violent(standard evolution human) - Cylons found that they had compatiable biology to procreate with humans but found out that fetus self-aborted if the human didn’t have the ‘Love’ hormones circulating to prevent rejection - A visionary Cylon then made contact with humans and preached love for one another - This of course led to his cruxifiction but being a cylon, he just rezzed back at the ship and showed up 3 days later - A new religion of love spread and sweeps over much of the planet - The rest of the Cyclons intermingle with humans and for the next 2000 years and produce cyclon-human hybrids - In a short period of time they abandon rez technology in favor of biological procreation but remembering the prophecy that they will once again be rezzed at the end The rest is history ---

I’ll go along with that one too (nice job, **LiquidAmber**!). But it means there has to have been a sect, deep in hiding for two millenia or more, of Cylons who remember who they were and where they came from, and that resurrection is a forgotten technology and not divine intervention, and even now is working feverishly away at it in some secret laboratory (in space?). Wasn’t it 3000 years ago when the 13th tribe settled earth? Then they spent 2000 years traveling to the colonies. So earth got nuked around the time of Christ? Wouldn’t we have noticed? ---

I’m pretty sure they said that Earth got nuked 2000 years before the time of BSG. So it was settled however long ago the exodus from Kobol supposedly took place, minus 2000 years, not counting travel time since I don’t know if FTL had been invented then or not. ---
