A heads up to Dickens fans: the BBC released a collection of six Dickens adaptations on DVD on September 6. The set is selling on Amazon for $41. It includes Oliver Twist, Great Expectations, Bleak House, Martin Chuzzlewit, Our Mutual Friend, and Hard Times.
Excited beyond all reason. Would have paid the $41 just for Our Mutual Friend!

Truely good news! I take it these are movies, not audio books, based on the DVD media. I hope there is a Tale of Two Cities coming. That’s my favorite.

I’ve got Great Expectations on DVD right now. Very slow. I’ll try to see if it picks up.
