# BCG vaccine can reverse Type 1 Diabetes

This is a real study, not some click bait bs. Exciting news.

The [study](https://www.massgeneral.org/about/pressrelease.aspx?id=2262) was run out of Massachusetts General Hospital and published in a real journal [npj Vaccines](http://www.nature.com/catalog/product/npj-vaccines/).

[Long-term reduction in hyperglycemia in advanced type 1 diabetes: the value of induced aerobic glycolysis with BCG vaccinations](https://www.nature.com/articles/s41541-018-0062-8) appears to be the actual published study.
