Wow, I’d get new coffee filters, because yours isn’t getting the urine out. His math is fine, and his comparison is fine. It may not totally applicable, and it may not be the best possible one to use, but it’s not hard to follow, and certainly not worth getting nasty about.

The comparison is nonsense. He is essentially saying if I arbitrarily lower Gwynn’s stats in a way that barely makes superficial sense, his batting average is lower than our OP’s player. That tells us absolutely nothing. I wasn’t being “nasty” about it. I was explaining why his/her analysis is nonsensical.
