I’d fogotten I even ordered it; I did an Amazon pre-order a few months ago, and had no idea what it was when the happy UPS man arrived this morning. So far, it’s _very_ cool. I like the artwork, and it’s very, very Whedon. 😃 ---

Is this the trade paperback collecting the individual issues, or just one of those issues? Who did the art? Is it an adaptation of the movie, or a “prequel,” or what? ---

This is a compilation of the three books that were out BEFORE the movie opened. They bridge between the series and the movie, and are quite good. Looks like a nice package, I may have to invest, although I already have the story. ---

If he put too much out in the comics, it would limit the scope of future films. That hope is, alas, moot. So soon we will see extremely interesting comics. Maybe even Book’s story. It swung from static attempts at drawing the actors, to outrageous comic-book stuff that broke me from the Firefly feel (like the other team of robbers in #1). ---

I got one of the three comics, didn’t like it, and didn’t bother to buy the other two. It just didn’t have that ‘Firefly feel’. The dialog was off, the way the scenes were framed wasn’t right, and in general it just bored me.
