**FCM** since my mother is home she will control the AC. She wasn’t too happy when she came home and it was cooler outside than inside and the AC was running. I know she’ll put the AC on later, she already said she would. I told her I think the problem in the house is that there is no airflow because there is so much stuff piled up everywhere. She looks around the house and shakes her head and I tell her - \*tell them to get their shit out of here. \* When I tell you there are boxes everywhere I mean _everywhere_. Her bf is no better, he’s a hoarder too. What really gets to me though is, when I first moved in here I went through everything I brought with me and had it put away cleared out, thrown away within a week. She hounded me everyday until I did. Once one of the mother’s at Sah-sons preschool bought everybody some cheap Christmas gifts - you know those cheap $5-$10 gifts. She got me a set of mugs with hot chocolate packs and Sah-son some little trinket. My mother _screamed_ at me, I mean _screamed_ at me for bringing stuff into the house. Next Easter I got called into my sons preschool because one of the mothers had bought all the kids little stuffed bunnies. As one of the mothers was packing my sons bag he told her she should leave his bunny at school because if he brought it home mom-mom would bitch. It just boggles my mind that I got bitched at if I left my flip flops under the dining room table, or Sah-son left a few video games out in the living room, but those assholes are turning her house into a warehouse and they keep bring in more stuff. In the last two days the male half has brought in a vacuum cleaner and a chain saw, now piled up with the rest of the hoard. I looked at them and asked my mother wth? and she just shakes her head and says ‘they were on sale’. I simply do not understand buying stuff for a house you don’t own yet. So what if it’s on sale? It will be on sale again. Then you have to expend the time, energy and money to move it. But hey, I am the crazy one so what do I know? And I got yelled at for buying 36 rolls of toilet paper. I swear it makes me want to go on a shopping spree and start my own hoard. Except truth be told, I am 1 - too lazy and 2 - too cheap and 3 - I hate cleaning and the more junk you own the more you have to clean. ---

Friends ended up here and stayed late so for some inexplicable reason I’m feeleeling far better today than I have any right to. Sounded like a couple of WWII vintage planes just flew overhead. Couldn’t get out quick enough to see 'em. Indy 500 bout to start. Did the pastor really just give thanks for the 2.3 liter turbocharged engines? ---

[Eighteen jars of strawberry jam](http://s72.photobucket.com/user/fairychatmom/media/Jam_zps3b6a8e94.jpg.html?sort=6&o=82) are cooling and awaiting their place in the pantry - I need to decide where they’ll all live. I expect some will go to the inlaws, some to my mom, but mostly, they’re ours. I may have to make one more batch if we give too many away. We shall see. I have lunched, and the jam-making stuff is all soaking in hot, soapy water. Guess I’ll need to clean that up eventually. But for now, I’m taking a breather. The Ice Cream Fairy should visit, you know? ---

Second smoke just started. The \butt\ looks wunnerful, fauxstrami, too. I think I’ll have to finish the \butt\ in the oven, however, 'cuz it’s so big. I’d rather cheat a bit rather than burn it. Got my hair cut. Now I’s completely bald, a la Kojak. ETA: I also have a Wiccan friend, maybe we can have the HFHen double teamed. I asked him once to invite me over when they sacrifice a virgin; he said it will never happen because there are no virgins in St. Mary’s County. ---

Exhausting weekend so far for me - yesterday was errands in town and bits of pre-holiday shopping. Today we had to take the cats to the [cattery](http://www.bourtonhousecattery.co.uk/) and left them for their two-week stay. It’s a very nice place, and they are staying in the Mouse House which is one of the luxury pens so they should be happy enough there. Afterwards I had planned to do the rest of my ironing, but the iron decided to go up in a very smelly puff of smoke so instead I had to go out to the local equivalent of WallyWorld and buy a new one. Luckily that one behaved and the ironing was finished. I had a load of veg left so I made a veggie stir-fry for lunch and roasted the rest of the root veggies so now I have two bags and one tub of veggies in the freezer. I’ve packed, exercised and now I’m running a bath. The only things left to do are to have a soak, ring my doting parent and paint my toenails. My friend is taking us to the station in the morning and has just sent a text to confirm what time he’s coming so we’re all set for our trip. There are engineering works on the rail lines this weekend so we have to trek up north to Stafford (about half an hour’s drive) and get the train from there as it goes on a loop line that bypasses the stretch where we live and rejoins the main line a bit further down. It’s all going to make the journey more interesting - train from Stafford to Lunnon, then the overground service to Gatwick where we’re staying overnight. Check-in on Tuesday by 9.30am (unless there’s a twilight check-in on Monday) then the flight leaves at 12.30pm. And before you ask, yes I have packed my drinking trousers! ---

They’re outtatime! We spotted a Delorean near our house last night. Or quite lost, which around here with freeway construction picking up and rearranging roads rather like how cartoon characters can just pick up the road and flip it somewhere else, is very possible. Renaming the roads doesn’t help either.
