Spousal unit just called - he’s headed back to his bike and he’s coming home. He said he had to park near the Jefferson Memorial - that’s a long walk from the Vietnam Vet Memorial! He’s gonna be one tired puppy when he gets home. I’ve got sketty sauce out to thaw for supper 'cause it’s easy. And I put a dozen of the jams into the box the jars came in - it’s got the dividers so it’ll be easy to put in the pantry. So yay. All the jam-making dishes are in the dishwasher and the day is winding down nicely. ---

Howdy Y’all! Miss me this afternoon? 😃 We deheathenated, had N.O.L. (leftovers from yestiddy), then went out to the cee-mint pond for a while. After that I cleaned the smoker since I did not do that yestiddy. We showered (not together just so y’all know) and OYKW wanted to go to the not too shabby Chinese [del]hog trough[/del] buffet so we did. Now we’s all settled down in da cave for the evenin’. It’s hawt out! 93 Amurrkin as I post but da cave is all nice and cool. **Sari** throw in a couple of Sharpies.[sup]TM[/sup] ---

Went to RenFair today and didn’t reapply sunblock frequently enough. Ouch.:smack: The group that I went with had breakfast at one couple’s home/hobby farm. They outdid themselves with yard eggs cooked to order, country ham, fried taters and onions and whole wheat biscuits with jam made from the blackberries on the back 40. Nom! Watched fencing, falcon handling and pub wrenches singing bawdy songs between walking around. Now for studio time. ---
