I’m a huge Beatles fan, and after seeing how much my kids liked Rock Band for the Wii in action for the first time over the weekend, took the plunge and got “The Beatles RockBand Limited Edition Premium Bundle” that comes with the Rock Band game, plus all the instrument controllers (guitar, drums, mic) modeled after the Beatles’ instruments. …Or does it? I just looked a little more closely at the product description and it lists: Höfner Bass controller The Beatles branded Rock Band drums Microphone and Microphone Stand It does not mention a lead guitar. Will I be one instrument short of a full band with this get up? If so, what sort of controller should I get? ---

Per the [Wiki article](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Beatles:_Rock_Band#Instrument_peripherals), it looks like all of the special Beatles boxed sets are minus a guitar. IIRC, you can use the bass/guitar for the other instrument, so it really only matters if you want both of those playing at once. The article mentions two Beatles-version guitars you can get separately (Rickenbacher 325 and Gretch Duo Jet), or you could get an old RB guitar. ---

Ferret Herder is correct: the bass works as a bass or lead guitar, both are mechanically identical in this game.
