I guess it’s a sign that I’m of a different generation, that nobody’s mentioned the actress who first sprang to mind for me–[Ellen Barkin](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000289/) . Back in the day, I read some magazine article that described her as resembling a beautiful doll that had been shattered and then put back together again, imperfectly. ---

I can’t find any pictorial evidence, but I always remember the late **Lee Remick** as being particularly lop-sided. Didn’t seem to hold her back. ---
