# Beautiful mystery

Over the past year, exquisite sculptures carved from books have been appearing at libraries and other book-related places in Edinburgh.

Nobody knows who has been making them, but the libraries have been preserving them for people to enjoy. A [beautiful mystery](http://thisiscentralstation.com/featured/mysterious-paper-sculptures/) that I felt I had to share.

I just hope that the artist has provided the books herself. Otherwise a lovely story, me being a Rankin fan and all (I have even met him at the Oxford bar once).

I’m sure if they were library books, the libraries would be getting irritated about the sculptures.

Did you see the Lost World one at the end? Stunning.
