What are some examples of women who are widely recognized for their beauty- actresses, models, and so forth- who have married men who weren’t rich or famous, but just average, ordinary guys? I’m hoping for some high-profile examples, people that we have actually heard of, who got married to these men while they were still in their prime. Has a Miss USA pageant winner ever married a plumber? Has a Hollywood starlet ever married a postal worker?? Has a supermodel ever married a bank teller??? If women select their partners based on ‘personality’, then surely we should be able to come up with countless examples. Oddly, I can’t think of a single case of this ever happening. Why not? Thanks. ---

It has to do with circles. Celebrities work and hang out with … Other Celebrities! So the people they are meeting and mingling with are going to be who they pick mates from, right? Besides, if an average person shows interest in a celebrity, he/she is going to be accused of stalking or obsessing before he/she ever has the chance to get to know the person. ---

Billy Joel and Christy Brinkley springs to mind as an obvious example. On a more personal note, I’m constantly amazed that somebody as jaw-droppingly beautiful as my fiancee is willing to be seen in public with an ugly scmhoe like me, let alone actually marry me.
