Weren’t 32 oz sodas banned by Michael Bloomberg, who’s a Republican? I’ll grant you Bloomberg’s not part of the Republican mainstream but does Jindal really think the GOP is in a position to go rhino hunting? I’m thinking they should be aiming more for a big tent theme. ---

They might, if there were anybody in charge. The Republican Party is an authoritarian structure without anybody making decisions. They got smart people all around them, telling them just what you and I might tell them, but no one who can say “Do it!” and make it stick. ---

But he never ran for office as a Democrat. He switched to the Republican party in 2001 and ran for office as a Republican in 2001 and 2005. In 2009 he ran as both an independent and a Republican. ---
