The part I don’t get is the Dentist called the woman’s husband and told him he was doing him a favor by firing her because if he kept employing her he was likely to have an affair with her.
A. WTF? What makes him think she would want to have an affair with him?
B. Boundaries?
C. In what world is “I’m not going to bang your wife, you’re welcome” a reasonable thing to say to someone.

The law isn’t forcing you to dissolve your marriage, your husband is dissolving your marriage because you refused to break the law. He is an asshole, and you should be glad to be rid of him.
