Because if I wait, i'll forget - the MMP

Happy November 7th indeed.

I had a pulmonary appt. today, and the doctor decided I need all kinds of tests, not the least of which will be another sleep apnea study, which may or may not actually happen. I did get to go to radiology this morning and have some chest x-rays taken and then had my lungs scanned in nuclear (lol I hope that I spelled that correctly!) medicine, in a cat scan like contraption. Well, it wasn’t quite that tight, but I was loaded in, feet first, and the cameras were all around my chest area. If they’d found any clots, I would have been hospitalized while they got me on blood thinners! Fortunately, none were found. I next get to go to cardiology for an echo cardiogram (sp?) on Thursday. Tomorrow is the appointment with the endocrinologist. I think my thyroid meds need adjusting but they’ll also probably check on the diabetes. I’m a tired camper right now!

Hope everyone else is doing okay. Please keep me in your thoughts this week, as I go to all my specialist appointments. Whew!

Training went well. Iggy was doing very well until the end. Unfortunately, I was not paying attention at the end and I let him freak out at the other dog. It was totally my fault for not reading him and I apologized to the other classmates for it. But, their dog was nearing the end too so they didn’t mind.

My wonderful trainer gave me a bulletin board to display my wares so at the end of the class, I set up a display of ornaments, magnets, and jewelry.
I am totally wasted right now. I can’t believe it’s possible but I seem to be on a normal sleep schedule. It’s almost 10pm and I want to go to bed already. It’s a miracle!

There was less blurf about work today than the hockey game yesterday.

shortdrum, does this mean he’ll soon be “The not so bad Iggy darnit”?

FCM, I believe the saying is “Take offs are optional, landings are mandatory’”

Congrats on passing, Fiat!

Great story, rosie!

swampy, Roomie is also lazy about cleaning fireplaces. That’s what OCDogbutler is for.

Don’t hold your breath. If I can get him to stop being so reactive to the dogs walking past our house every day, I’ll consider the class a complete success. I don’t expect him to ever stop terrorizing the girls or stop using his cutes and squeakiness to get out of trouble.

Last Saturday, I went out to buy toilet paper but I turned left instead of right and came home with a new car instead. When I finally got home, I realized I’d forgotten the TP. :smack:

Tisiphone officially has **chronic **interstitial cystitis, poor thing. She really likes the prescription diet, but it’s $2.50 per can! I’m trying to find another healthy, not-quite-so-outrageously-expensive wet food she’ll eat instead, but picky cat is picky.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 53 degrees Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 78 and sunny. Fall here is like Spring in a lot of places.

Good Eyetalian was nummy last night. Belini was also nummy. MOG is comin’ for dindin tonight cause I’m makin’ jambalaya. YUM!

Herbs appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed for good doc reports.

Shadow I trust you got in your new wheels and promptly went out to by tp? :dubious: Yay on the new ride!

Wetone and shortdrum thanks for helpin’ me get through the wants for a doggy with your stories.

Now I seek more caffiene and rumbly tummy demands to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. Home visits abound! Rah.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

OK, does anyone else suspect **tarra **is just shopping for a new hot doctor boyfriend?

Sorry, that was uncalled for. I’s ashamed. Sorta… But I do hope all your appointments go well and they can get you all fixed up with a minimum of duct tape. Dr appts are not fun.

Cute car, Shadow! Is it as cozy as it looks? It seems barely bigger than a Smartcar.

I was supposed to call my mom last night, and I forgot. Probably because after supper, I was just exhausted and falling asleep in front of the TV like some old woman. I’ll call her this morning before I go to class - that’ll give me an excuse to get off the phone, too. My mom does like to talk.

Amazingly, I’m not hurting this morning. I guess the ibuprofen and the memory foam mattress let me relax properly. I slept 6 solid hours, then woke up and dozed in and out for another 2, so I guess I’m rested. I need to get my tools together for class - I was working in my studio and I took all my stuff there. With luck, I can get it together quickly. Gotta remember a towel also. For my hands - keep your minds outta the gutter. :stuck_out_tongue:

All the various tales of pet woes make mine seem minor, altho they’re really mostly just annoying. Thanks to the time change, Scruffy starts nagging to be fed around 2:30 instead of her old 3:30 nag. But if I can ignore her for an hour or so, she gives up and takes a nap - then I have to wake her to eat. Oh, and Ziva is getting more affectionate in the evenings, but apparently only because she wants to play with my yarn. The current afghan is interlaced with cat spit… luckily, I wash them all before I donate them. Stoopit cat.

Other plans for today, apart from playing with clay - I’ve got to make an apple crisp for **FCD **to take to work tomorrow. They’re doing a chili cookoff and requested desserts. Honestly, the hardest part of making the crisp is peeling the apples, and I’m getting faster at that.

Must forage for food. Or maybe I’ll hold out till it’s time to go to class and get a breakfast sammich enroute. Or I could just get dressed now and go get said sammich. No way I’m going out in public in a green robe and purple slippers - it just isn’t done! It would give **swampy **a case of the vapors!!!

Happy Tuesday!!

Good thoughts for all those visits and exams, tarra.

Pretty car, Shadow. What color did you get? (That’s the important part, right?)

Up, working on getting lunch together before going to vote.

Happy Tuesday, all!

Hugs.

Carry on.

Nature called at 4am, so when we finished our conversation, I made a pot of coffee, since I intended to leave the house at 7:30 to deal with a couple of errands and be back in time for the architect. Well, it’s not my week. I went to put on my socks, and my back spasmed. blurf!

Awesome indeed!
Welcome to the world of Geekdom :stuck_out_tongue:

“It’s c-c-c-c-ooooold outside!” ?

Hey, I only need a fire once a year (Lag Ba-Omer); but having a fire is FUN!!! (says the closeted Pyro.)

Does Swampy know you’re low on TP!?
(Congrats on the new wheels, though! :))

Seconded

Hey, I’m not falling apart yet!

Well, not much, anyway… :o

ETA: Since I’ll be called out if I don’t mention it… First on 2!!

It’s a Fiat, no less!

Blurf.

My new Fiat is the Lounge with pearl white with red and ivory interior. It’s bigger inside than outside, although tall people would be squished with the sunroof option and the backseat is for short people. It’s also my first automatic, so that’s taking some getting used to. It’s fun to drive, albeit a different kind of fun than the Z. Also, the trunk is roomy enough so I don’t have to play Tetris when I buy groceries anymore.

I have successfully given Sweetie my cold. He feels like he was hit in the face with a brick. I feel bad. I hope he’s not sick for over a week like I’ve been. He actually has to be able to function, I don’t.

I don’t like drama. I detest being drawn into drama that doesn’t actually need my participation. I don’t want to know if you’re cheating on your husband, I really don’t. Ugh.
My mumsey is on her way here for her birthday chili. Sweetie tested it and told me to tell her that it’s offensively disgusting and she probably shouldn’t have any because she’ll think he hates her. I told her but she knows his tricks and said that she’ll risk it.

Really need to study for Spanish but I just can’t work up the gumption.

You bought a TARDIS?! That really must have cost a pretty penny!

She traded in her sonic screwdriver.

My arms are hurting today and thus I am fairly crabby.* I’ve been making spoon rings, but progress is slow. I’m thinking about having some Spaghettio’s for N.O.L. and then starting up again.

*Probably from bending 40 or so diet forks by hand. That link isn’t my page but same basic idea. Also gives me the idea that people are much more gullible than I think if they’ll pay $5 each for such nonsense when I charge much less than that.

A muumuu is the only acceptable thing to wear with purple slippers out in public. Fashion, people, fashion. It’s all about style.

Ouchie Rosie!

In news from irk, homes have been visited (no more today, yay!) and I mandatorily peed. What? My name came up for random mandatory drug testin’. So, it was mandated that I go pee. So I mandatorily peed.

Ok, N.O.L. is et, so I guess it’s back to irk time.

Laterz!

Wait - the page said $50 - seriously??

Back from class. Apparently there’s a new teacher at nights who’s ever so slightly OCD. The entire studio was rearranged, and not in a good way. All the batts and ware boards were shoved back in the clay room (these are things you use while you’re making stuff - tucking them away is dumb!!) The slab roller was turned 90° from the way it had been sitting, so now it’s protruding into the walkway. All the wheels were crammed against the wall - you now have to pull one out if you want to throw, and there’s no way they can all be used at once. The bookbag shelf was moved to the opposite side of the room where the chalkboard usually sits, and the chalkboard was moved in front of the shelves where completed works are placed, along with the cubbies that hold various tools, forms, and other accessories one might use. And in the glazing room, all kinds of stuff was piled on the only counter, eliminating a lot of work space. The stack of newspaper that just about everyone uses was put waaaaaaay up in a cubby, requiring a somewhat shaky climb up on the extruder base. The only good thing I can say is the studio was clean - swept and mostly wiped down.

Our instructor intends to have words with this other person. * Da noive* of some people!!!

Despite the aggravations, I worked on 2 pieces today - I trimmed and decorated a dish, then decorated and glazed a vase-like item. So it was a pretty productive day for me. I’ve finished lunch, and I’ve got to peel a pile of apples for an apple crisp. woohoo! Envy me!!!
