I am home and experiencing a disproportionate amount of anxiety towards what I just found out. Earlier this month I bought some used tires for my car. I just can’t justify the expense for new tires on a 15 year old car with 221,000 miles. Anyways, at the oil change place they told me that one of the tires is worn unevenly and is at the minimum tread in some places. Now, I already knew that the tires were worn unevenly because it sounds like a Mack truck as I’m rolling down the road. However, I wouldn’t expect that I’d be buying a tire at minimum tread to replace my tire at minimum tread. :dubious: I guess I’m just bugging out because I’ve been awake and running nonstop since 3:45 this morning. ---

Hello my lovelies. Another day of work done and boy am I glad it’s over. My son took his driver license test today and passed on his first try. He was damn happy and of course, was not home when I got home. My husband said he didn’t even go into the house, he just hopped in his car and drove over to a friend’s house. He took the driving test in my husband’s car because we were slightly worried about the crack in my son’s windshield. It doesn’t obstruct his vision, and we know we have to replace it, but we didn’t want the test cancelled if the instructor thought the crack “wasn’t safe”. So, now both my kids are licensed. My daughter is hoping to find a car this weekend to replace the car that got wrecked at the beginning of this month. No more carting the kids to and fro! **taxi,** if you do go to San Antonio, be sure to check out Howl at the Moon on the Riverwalk. That place is a hoot! That place is all about audience participation and you will definitely spend a lot of time laughing. I hope all the sick ones among you recover quickly. I better get dinner going now. ---

#2 son got the all clear from the pediatrician to go back to school etc. Yay! and Daughter is feeling better and talking about going for a “short” run, to which I firmly said NO. Ah, youth… Work in the am and then I hope to get caught up on the MMP, since I have been remiss in reading this week. ---

A date, **Doggio**? Don’t tell **Pie** , she’ll get jealous! Last night I went out with the girls from the office on a belated leaving do for someone. We went to Pizza Express and had food and beerverages, then went to a bar for another beerverage before going home. It was a good night out even if it was an early finish. Tonight I have to do grocery shopping with or without 'im indoors as he’s coming back from Glasgow today but hasn’t told me what time he will be home. After that it’ll be Chinese for dinner and then I have to make the ghosts and gravestones for the cake. Hopefully they’ll turn out ok although I’ve not made meringues for a dog’s age. Should be fun. There will be chocolate involved too so that’s a bonus. Tomorrow I will be icing the cake and putting the finishing touches to it before it gets photographed to keep all of you happy. And then tomorrow night it will be et. **mmmmmmmmmms** - where are you going? We need to know! ---

Poor **Soapy**. ☹ I’ve nearly done that here a time or two. Well, I’ve opened the last box of Count Chocula. I won’t be buying anymore. That stuff’s too addictive. By opening it today, I’m hoping that my mom will eat it all while I’m gone for the weekend. 😃 I really should be working now but I’m kind of lazy today. (Ok, the ground beef is cooking and the cookies are thawing, but I should be _actively_ working, too.) ---

I _did_ get out the door a little late, but still got to work in decent time. I just saw a spider in my keyboard. _In_ my _freaking_ keyboard. A spider. A white one, 'bout a quarter inch. It just crawled under the keycap for the letter K. I tried shaking the keyboard and hitting K a few times and coaxing it out with soft cooing noises and a tasty biscuit, but it’s not coming out. Great. I have an Ogdamn spider making a home in my keyboard. At any moment I could be typing and either smush the damn thing or have it crawl up one of my fingers. Crap. ---

(For anyone who doesn’t want to click - which I didn’t, just looked at the link - it says “company uses aborted fetal tissue in anti-aging cream”) Doesn’t seem right… there’d be biohazard issues if nothing else, but just me saying so isn’t going to convince those who believe everything that comes in a forward. ---

I haven’t seen the spider leave. It could have while I was away from the keyboard a few times this morning, but not knowing still makes me nervous. The compressed air solution sounds great – except our office purchaser is tighter than a pedophile’s sphincter in a prison shower and apparently doesn’t see an office use for cans of compressed air. I have a six pack of the stuff at home, but fat lot of good it does me there. It _does_ have a certain halloweeny creepiness to it, I’ll admit, but that’s not very comforting. Hey, uh … if y’all start seeing me posting strange messages like “SEND MORE FLIES” or “YOU ALL WILL NOURISH MY YOUNG,” please pay no attention to them – or better yet, call my local animal control. Tell them to bring flamethrowers.
