Which part was I wrong about? That neuroplasticity declines with age, or that you repeated the same thing over and over for weeks without any ability or desire to analyze what other people were saying and attempt to evaluate it? ---

Sometimes I’ll agree with a poster in one thread and disagree with them in several others. Even someone like Der Trihs I agree with from time to time and will find something useful or interesting in what he says. There have been a couple posters (Redfury, Hentor) who I probably disagree with more often or have a ‘grudge’ against (though I DO sometimes find Red’s posts interesting and have actually learned a lot from him…Hentor not so much). Gonzo though I’ve found to be pretty universally useless as a poster, without any shred of redemption in any of his posts. Even if on the rare occasions I agree with his stance on something I find his posts to be pretty much devoid of anything even remotely interesting…not even anything vaguely humorous, witty or even anything but mechanical. -XT ---

Shit, you guys would be lost without **Gonzo** to beat up on, he makes you feel smart. You could ignore him, but you won’t, because you can handle him, you can sneer at him and get away with it. If three guys make roughly the same argument, you’ll pretend to only have read **Gonzo** ’s, which you will rebut in the clumsy fashion of someone trying to type while simultaneously patting themselves on the back and giving each other high fives. If you think his arguments are so unworthy of your attention, why lavish it upon him? Because you want to. Without him, you’d have to swim in the deep water with the big fish. ---

Others on his side are often as well, but they hide it in fancy terms and flowery language. So, when you refute Gonzo, the absurdity of the argument is easier to see at least.
