Just for drill, who are the ‘usual suspects’ exactly you piously are mouthing about?? I assume I’m on the list (probably on marked in your mental book as: One, Rabid Right Winger, Class C), but who else? Looking at the list of folks who take umbrage against gonzo I’m struck by the diversity…but hey, if it’s only the SDMB Tighty Righties™ who are picking on gonzo simply because we really have no choice, being beaten repeatedly by the wisdom and logic of ones such as you, then perhaps you’d care to give me a rough list of who these ‘usual suspects’ are? -XT ---

Regardless of Gonzos mental and protein status, people or bots like him/it do a great disservice to those that support gun control. I’m a liberal gun owner. When people like Gonzo pop up, it makes me more cautious of the anti-gun types that ‘just’ want to pass one more law. No rational argument in the 20/20 thread would sway his opinion one bit. Gun enthusiasts suggested ways to make the Demo/test fair. But Gonzo would have none of that. I and other folks in the 20/20 thread would very, very much like to see a fair test. And made suggestions on how to do it. Gonzo, and other gun control folks that refuse to educate themselves aren’t interested in a fair test. They don’t listen to ideas from informed people about how such a test could be conducted. Nor do they offer other suggestions. ---

I have to disagree here. People that are pro or anti anything that won’t listen to reason hurt their cause. The only thing that Gonzo has done is make me raise a hairy eyeball in the direction of any gun control. He (and others) have showed me how absolutely clueless some, if not many or most of the anti-gun people are. For that, I guess I should thank him. (used to be middle of the road about gun control. Now not so much) ---

**elucidator** : I don’t think I’m one of your “usual suspects,” but I find myself at least mildly annoyed by **gonzomax** (though I’d never read any of the other threads about him until now). That’s because he persisted in using the $42 billion number for the credit default swap market even after I showed him a pretty solid link disputing it that he never addressed. Then again, he hasn’t used it since, so maybe he’s learned from it. ---
