Dammit, Beck. You are a mess. Ok, thx @Aspenglow for shutting down my ignorance. If you worried (clearly @kenobi_65 was gonna egg me on😊) I’m ok. Ivy shot me up with the correct amount of insulin. Changed my pump. I did nap. Have a ferocious headache. How do people drink and enjoy it? Really, how? I knew I made the thread. I thought it was so well done. Til I woke up and saw it was locked. I shock myself sometimes. This is one of those moments. Sorry guys. I’m ok. Really I’m ok. Except the grandkids have StarWars on. Light saber fights are not helping the headache. 😊 ---

I get it. But boy that was a fast oncoming drunk and a quick bring down. The hangover was not pleasant or thankfully very long standing. I’m much better since I ate dinner and my blood glucose was managed carefully. ---

I didn’t mean for it to be a great debate, why people enjoy drinking. I guess I really know. It’s relaxing, fun and social. And I guess the trade off of the occasional hangover is worth it. In the throes of the massive pain I was feeling it was a knee jerk reaction. Of course the drunk I was having wasn’t really something I chose and in fact the undrunk part of my brain was afraid. And my stomach hurt. I couldn’t stop giggling tho’. The hiccups didn’t help. I knew as soon as Ivy got involved the pain was gonna happen. I hope those of you that imbibe and get gently high and relaxed have great times. It gives me hope. ---

The trick is to get to that low level, happy buzz and not go further where you will get sick and/or have a horrible hangover. Unfortunately, learning that usually only comes with practice and some of those horrible hangovers. ---

But in the days where I regularly smoked a pipe, I found out that the burley tobaccos were not screwing around and delivered drug levels of nicotine. My favorite was Cornell & Diehl’s Burley Flake #2, but #3 had its charms as well. Either way, all of their burley flakes could have me a hiccuping mess if I tried to finish a bowl of them without a long break or two in the middle of it. I’ll probably still keep some of that around (or at least some Early Morning Pipe) even if I manage to kick the cigarettes.
