@Beckdawrek I thought of you when this article popped up in one of my local newspapers. A possum with a wheelchair! > **[Wheelchair-bound opossum from Greensburg will be featured in international...](https://triblive.com/local/westmoreland/wheelchair-bound-opossum-from-greensburg-will-be-featured-in-international-calendar/)** > > Olli the Virginia opossum was one lucky marsupial. As a baby, Olli was attacked by several predators, leaving him with major bite wounds and abscesses and a severely injured spinal cord. I have to say … I once got roundly smacked down for what that author/editor did: > **[Please Stop Saying "Wheelchair Bound" • Free Wheelin'](https://www.freewheelintravel.org/please-stop-saying-wheelchair-bound/)** > > Although "wheelchair bound" and "confined to a wheelchair" are still in very common usage, we all have the power to remove them from our vocabulary. I also think it could run afoul of the PDA (Possums with Disabilities Act). But don’t hold me to that. ---
