Because of extenuating circumstances I am house bound. To relieve boredom, since sleep is not possible (stoopid Siamese cats and whiny Yorkie) I got in my make-up. Put the Yorkie in my lap. Sat in front of a mirror. My make-up is mostly hand me downs from the lil’wrekker and old stuff I’ve had forever. It’s kinda messy because grandkids have played in it. I apply it like I used to do when I cared what I looked like. When I’m done I plug in the the curling iron (another hand me down). Play with in and make my hair wavy. Man, I need a selfie of this. I look good! I get what I think is a couple of good pix. And I edit them. (I’m good with editing tools) I text them to granddaughter. She asked who that is? I tell her “it’s me Nana.” She texts back, “That’s not Nana, that lady is kinda pretty” In a minute I get another text, it said “Mom said to tell you you look very pretty” I text back “Thx”. One more text from her “Dad said you still look like a granny” Well, poo! I send a pix to the lil’wrekker. Her text to me said “Is that my old eyeshadow you’re using?” and “It doesn’t go with your coloring” What the heck? We’re exactly the same color. I text her “Thx alot!”. She says the look is too young for me, I need to act my age. Well, shit! •••••• Moral of the story: Don’t send selfie texts to your loved ones. They’ll criticize. And you’ll always look like the ol’Granny that you are. To them. I still think I look good:) ---

Well, my new beauty routine lasted less than a day. I staggered down stairs to feed the cats earlier. I walked by a big mirror in my dining room and scared myself.:eek: In true Halloween fashion I’m going with the scary look this week. Easier to maintain:) ---
