My insulin pump is installed. I’m officially a Borg. 3 devices attached to my bod. Makes swimsuit season kinda awkward. My pump is on the left side of my abdomen real close to the ceaserian scar and snake skin from years of injections. So far, it’s okay. Yesterday we (me, DIL and her 2 rugrats)went to Texarkana to the diabetic clinic. My pump and CGM are now speaking to each other. It should normalize my insulin needs. I havn’t went this long with out injections in decades. No finger pricking, No shots. Wow. After the appointment me and the Rugrats insisted on corndogs from Sonic. DIL was not amused. But she took us there. Yay! In the backseat there was a small war brewing. Corndogs stopped it for a hot minute. We get back on the road home. 1 hour in a car listening to 2 loud mouthed girls singing everyword to a Kids bop #44? cd was torturous. OMG. I wanted to throw myself out of the moving vehicle. DIL has the child locks on the doors, though. I was captive. And she’s singing too. She says after listening to it so much it begins to grow on you. Nope! I don’t need that growing on me. I got enough things stuck to my body. We FINALLY get home. Ok. Here is the cat part: (you know you WANT to hear it): I get into my big USC tee-shirt and shorts, the shorts feel weird coz of how the pump is located. I got to move in up next time i change location. Bear and Meeko are instantly on me when I sit down in my big chair. Bear is sniffing around the pump, Meeko in kneading my thigh and purring loudly. Piercing little holes in me. So much for less hole poking. I get more from her. Bear is dubious about the pump, he meows ‘NO’ several times.Clacking his jaw. Eerie. I’m pretty sure they are concerned for my well-being. Or they just want treats.🙂 ---

They’ve taken to sitting and staring at me while I sleep. It’s weird. I woke up this morning not hearing their loud ‘Meow-kitties-are-starving’ plaintive howls. I opened my eyes and they were in the window looking at me. Creepy. ---

I had an MRI earlier this week and had to go through a checklist (multiple times) of everything you can’t have in or on you if you’re getting an MRI. It made me think of a modern version of _Hair_’s “ain’t got no” song: ain’t got no stents ain’t got no clips ain’t got no valves ain’t got no catheters ain’t got no implants ain’t got no pumps ain’t got no wires ain’t got no fragments ain’t got no pacemaker ain’t got no probes ain’t got no camera pills ain’t got no filters ain’t got no microchips ain’t got no drug patch ---

What about a mouth full of metal? The left side of my jaw is completely reconstructed. I think I’ve had cat scans of my head since. Not sure about MRI. ---

SOMEBODY has to say it: sounds like you get a cat scan every night while you sleep. OK, maybe nobody had to say it. I wonder if your ever-vigilant DIL hasn’t recruited your cats into Beckwatch 2019. She and the Siamese heve a guarded relationship. She has fed them a couple of times for me. That gets you brownie points. Not sure if she’s made any requests of them. She is soon to jump into Siamese ownership in 6 or 7 weeks. I don’t know who I feel more angst for. This, at least, should be entertaining. I’m evil. I know.😃 (Nellie. Cat-scan? Hmmmm?)🙂 ---

Both upper and lower jaws are rebuilt - screws or wires in 8 places. Have had several MRIs since, because the metal is the special not magnetic kind. ---

It has been purchased by the Son and DIL. It was born last week. Got awhile to wait for the kitten to come home. Granddaughter is thrilled. ---

They have a second daughter. She is already making noises about ‘her’ kitty. I predict another kitty in about a year.🙂
