I’m more of a slave to the Siamese. They don’t pay good. _Jojo update_ He’s had his neck thing flushed this morning. Tomorrow they are gonna put a sponge-y thingy in the cavity. It has a tab on the end and it has to be removed and replaced everyday. (Think neck tampon). That seems difficult. They say it’s not really. ---

Tell them to skip the Spanish Inquisition torture devices. And really praise the food! JoJo’s neck owie sounds like one on a past cat of ours. The whole effort is getting the wound to heal from the bottom up, to avoid secret pockets of infection. The crazy arrangement for our cat was simplistic, odd, but apparently effective. The wound was essentially a tunnel, with two breaks in the skin. The vet threaded something that looked like a shoelace through the tunnel, then tied the two ends together. We got a little bottle of antibiotic solution, and twice a day we were to squirt the antibiotics on the shoelace, and then tug it through the skin. Very high on the ick factor! But the wound healed beautifully, and never troubled him again. Keep up with the good news reports! ~VOW ---
