The matter has been resolved. On the request of the other party, the store owner, not my Dad, I have agreed to cease discussing it with others. Mods–at the request of the store owner, I request this Thread be closed. ---

This is surreal. There were never bed bugs. The mattress wasn’t used. We have a thread full of people bleating about fucking lawyers and the god damned attorney general without considering the source. The burden of proof is on the store owner to prove that there _aren’t_ bedbugs? Let’s have him prove that there aren’t any tiny blue elves while we’re at it. Good god. ---

But you can comply with that by simply bowing out of the thread. I fail to see what business the store owner has asking for threads to be closed. The thread doesn’t identify the store owner, his store, or its location. You should have told him that you can’t stop others discussing the situation in general terms, nor would you wish to. Keep the thread open, Mods. There’s a principle at stake here (somewhere). ---
