Excuse me, but there were THAT many mice and yet “no need to evacuate”? ARE THEY KIDDING??? ---

They should have people bring in cats for “pet therapy” since [just the smell of a cat](http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/2745/do-mice-fear-the-scent-of-a-cat-do-mice-really-love-cheese) apparently deters most mice. 🙂 This really is a sad story. Elderly people should be able to enjoy their final years in peace without crazy stuff like that happening to them. ---
